NOTES ABOUT THE VESTIBULAR DISORDER

Vestibular disorders are typically identified at an early stage such as insomnia, fatigue, blurred vision. Feel unusual and groggy when waking up in the morning.

In many people, the vestibular disorders often have symptoms such as easy falling , dizziness, nausea ... Everything was spinning and overturning from their eyes. Patients with the vestibular disorders often are conscious, exhausted. They tend to find a silent place due to photophobia and noise phobias.

Symptoms of vestibular disorder:

Dizziness: Having the illusion of movement of the around environment and feeling spinning or rocking. These symptoms are accompanied by nausea, vomiting, sweating, loss of balance, blurred vision. It is caused by the peripheral or central nerve damage of the vestibular system. This symptom appears in patients having emotional disorders such as hyperventilation syndrome, anxiety, depression.

Syncope: Feeling unconscious or fainting, sweating, nausea, blurred vision . It is caused by decreased cerebral perfusion.

Loss of balance: The feeling of unbalanced, unstable .The cause is loss of synchronization between the information from the vestibular, cerebellar.

The disease might progress in a few days and then gradually recovers. It can   leave sequelae such as groggy, blurred eyes, limbs numbness, trembling greatly influencing to our health.

There are many causes of vestibular dysfunction: the environment, the weather changing , poisoning, poor circulation and nerve problems, psychological problems…

Depending on the causes of vestibular disorders, patients can choose appropriate treatments. In mild cases, patients take medicines directed by your doctor. But in severe cases , they may need a surgery or medical therapy.
